It was my first trip with them and I found them very responsive, helpful and professional. The trip was well planned with a training day to learn how to handle the dogs and the sledge, followed by a two-day trip with an overnight stay in a heated tipi. We also took in ice fishing and snowshoeing and had a brilliant time. "This March I had a wonderful ski tour through Kasivarsi Wilderness Area. Our guide looked after us excellently and was very knowledgeable. The days were full of gliding, more often walking, through stunning landscapes. The aim was skiing up Halti, one of the highest mountains in Finland. The downhill run was great and not too challenging. It was quite a demanding tour with pulling sledges and carrying a backpack. The daily distances were just right with uphill and downhill bits. The huts were warm, once the stoves were lit, and comfortable. We carried all our food, and it was mostly very good. Our group, Brits, Americans and Germans, worked really well together and it seems we all had a wonderful time. I can recommend this trip to everybody, but you need to have a good degree of fitness and stamina. I look forward to the next trip in 2024."

"Wonderful time staying at the Romantic Cabin Getaway in Paijänne Tavastia. The peace and quiet was outstanding and the cabin itself perfect for two. The accommodation was very well equipped, and the sauna and hot tub a real bonus. Although the area feels very remote, the cabin is an easy two-hour drive from Helsinki and only a 10-minute drive from Sysmä, where you can find well stocked supermarkets and lovely cafes. There are lots of well marked walking trails in the area, but I would recommend hiring a car to make the most of the outstanding scenery. A perfect and much needed break following the difficulties of the past two years - we really did not want to leave."

Nature Travels were superb - when it became apparent that our original plans could not happen, they came up with a fantastic alternative, and were full of helpful information and totally flexible about our cancellation options. In the event, we got away just before the new restrictions came into force on 20 December and we were able to spend Christmas in Swedish Lapland, snow-mobiling and dogsledding with Nature Travels' excellent local partner JVT. What an amazing place, and what a wonderful experience, we would recommend it to anyone!"

From the traditional cabin accommodation, to the group dinners, to the amazing quality of the light on the ice and the sounds of skates carving the changing surface - it was the most memorable holiday for a long time. The need to focus on technique combined with beautiful peaceful surroundings completely distracted me from everyday concerns and I came home from four days feeling like I'd had several weeks of relaxation. Martin our tour guide with his dogs was fantastic, very informative and really let us get involved in getting dogs ready and feeding them. The views were just incredible and I honestly can't rave about this experience enough! From being collected from hotel, to overnight stay in the cabins, food cooked, sitting around by candlelight, talking and playing cards to the journey home and helping with the dogs! "This year was our third year booking through Nature Travels (which says it all really) and yet again they did not fail to deliver: from the booking, organising, answering the many questions we always have beforehand (normally regarding the equipment or maps) to the wonderful centres they use. Niki or Jayne have always been extremely quick to respond. This year we spent six days kayaking around Bohuslän's southern archipelago and, although the weather wasn't always on our side, we had the most amazing time. So much so that we are already planning our next trip to explore Bohusän's northern archipelago. The centre were extremely helpful before we set off, they contacted us to check we were ok whilst on the water and were also really interested in hearing about where we had been when we returned (they even showed up with a flask of coffee for us at the end)."
