Flexibility On Your Booking With Nature Travels
We understand that plans do not always work out as you intended.
If you're not able to travel for your booked tour, whatever the reason, we will always try to offer as much flexibility as we can to find a suitable solution for you.
Exact possibilities will depend on factors such as the particular tour you've booked, if all or just some persons from your party are cancelling, how close to departure the change is requested, or remaining availability for alternative tour dates if you wish to change dates.
Get in touch as soon as you know you might need to make a change and we will do our best to help.
For full information on terms of your booking, please see our Booking Conditions, particularly under "Section 5: Cancellation By You".
OUR FLEXIBILITY GUARANTEE - Cancelling more than 60 days ahead? Book again and you won't lose a thing!
When you make your booking more than 60 days before you travel, you pay a deposit of 10% of the total cost (or £100 if the value of your booking is less than £1,000). Our deposits are among the lowest in the industry.
Your full payment is then due 60 days before you travel (if you book within 60 days of travel, full payment is due on booking).
If your plans change and you need to cancel your booking, we hope of course that you will choose to travel with us in the future when the time is right.
So while deposits are non-refundable, as long as you let us know more than 60* days before you're due to travel, you can re-book with us at a later date and receive a discount on your new booking up to the full value of your deposit payment for the booking you have cancelled.
*This applies for all our experiences except Hut to Hut Aurora Husky Safari in Lapland (Finland), which has special booking conditions and for which the minimum period is 70 days.
The following conditions apply:
- If the total value of your new booking is the same as or higher than the booking you have cancelled, you will receive a discount on your new booking equal to the deposit you paid for your cancelled booking - you'll lose nothing!
- If it's less than the value of the booking you cancelled, you will receive a discount of 10% on the total value of the new booking.
- The new booking can be for any number of persons and for any of our experiences, summer or winter, provided the person who made the original booking is one of the persons travelling. It doesn't matter if other persons from the original booking do not travel for the new booking.
- The new booking can be made at any time, but travel must be completed by latest the end of the following summer or winter season. That is:
- If you cancel a winter booking, you can re-book for travel anytime up to 30th April in the winter season of the following year.
- If you cancel a summer booking, you can re-book for travel anytime up to 30th September in the summer season of the following year.
- This is not a transfer of your previous deposit. A new deposit will be required as normal for your new booking and the total price of the new booking will be discounted as described above.
- To claim your discount, simply quote the booking reference for your cancelled booking when contacting us again.
FAQs
No, it's not possible to simply "move" your booking and payment directly to the following season.
However, if you're able to travel for alternative dates in the same season, provided you let us know well in advance, we will always do our best to accommodate the change if we can (subject to remaining availability and other considerations).
Yes, this does not affect any insurance arrangements you have made which may cover the circumstances of your cancellation (for example if you've had to cancel due to illness or injury).
When you cancel more than 60 days before tour start, the cancellation penalty is loss of deposit as per booking conditions. The discount above is a special arrangment we offer as a goodwill gesture on a new booking to offset your lost deposit if you re-book in the future. We will still send you confirmation of your cancellation as normal so you can make a claim on your insurance if appropriate.
Standard cancellation conditions will need to apply. Please see our Booking Conditions under Section 5 for full details and don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions.
