Groups
Many of our outdoor experiences are ideal for groups, whether it's a self-guided canoe or sea kayak tour with wild camping in summertime, or a dog sledding or ski touring expedition in winter. Where activities are guided (such as dog sledding, ice skating or ski touring), these will be offered as private experiences and a certain amount of customisation is also possible.
The maximum group size possible will depend on the activity chosen - some canoe or timber rafting tours, for example, can be very suitable for large groups of 20+ persons, while other experiences may be suitable only for much smaller groups (e.g. max. 4-8 persons). Please contact us to discuss your requirements and we will happy to advise on the most suitable options.
Nature Travels group experiences are suitable for:
- Adult groups: Tours ideal for groups of adults such as friends travelling together or a club.
- Adventurous Training: Challenging trips for military groups..
- School, Scout & Cadet Groups: Our canoe and timber raft experiences in summer are perfect for youth groups. We also offer dog sledding and multi-activity programmes in wintertime.
- Dogsled Charity Challenges: Our more challenging dogsled tours are a great choice for special "charity challenge" trips.
Adult Groups
Nature Travels offers a very wide range of experiences ideal for adult groups, whether you are a canoe and kayak club or group of friends looking
for an active stag or hen trip. In the summer, canoeing, sea kayaking and timber rafting are some of most popular options, while in winter
private dogsled tours and backcountry ski expeditions are possible for groups as small as four persons.
Adventurous Training
Nature Travels has worked with a number of military groups to arrange adventurous training expeditions in Sweden. In some cases, standard itineraries
can be customised to increase the level of challenge required by military groups. In summer, timber rafting is an ideal team-building exercise
or alternatively we offer options for challenging wilderness canoe tours. In winter, our mountain dogsled tours offer a unique experience
with the added challenge of dog sledding in a mountain environment. We can also arrange custom programmes such as ski touring and winter
mountain skills.
"We had an absolutely awesome time. The whole expedition covered
all and more of what we set out to achieve. The long days and selflessness of the
whole experience (looking after the dogs before ourselves) tailored
the week as being one of the best expeditions for personal development
and social interaction I have ever taken part in. A massive 'Thank you' to you. You were an inspiration.
You were one of the most efficient and helpful people I have ever
dealt with, you really made sure that this expedition went ahead without
any problems." Steve, Cambridge University Air Squadron, multi-day mountain dogsled itinerary in Sweden.

School, Scout & Cadet Groups
The Nordic countries offers a number of exciting and affordable options for scout and school groups, especially in summertime. A wide range of
self-guided canoe tours is available from easy rural route to challenging wilderness expeditions, many of which are ideal for Duke of Edinburgh
Gold groups. For a unique adventure and the perfect lesson in teamwork, our Timber Rafting on Klarälven is a popular option and is particularly
suitable for scout groups. In wintertime, snowshoeing and winter camping expeditions bring the Swedish winter wilderness within reach of
everyone, as skiing experience is not required.
"I think the 2023 Sweden Artic Skills trip was again a great success. The pupils were great and I know they all thoroughly enjoyed the experience." Russ, UK independent school, travelling with us for their third winter multi-activity programme in Swedish Lapland.
Dogsled Charity Challenges
Charity Challenges are becoming an increasingly popular way to raise money for your favourite charity while having the adventure of a lifetime!
Dog sledding is the perfect choice for a charity expedition - private tours are possible from group sizes as small as 3 persons, with duration
and level of challenge tailored to your wishes, while individuals are welcome to join any of our scheduled dogsled tours.
