The DFDS Seaways service between Harwich and Esbjerg in Denmark has now unfortunately closed. However, it is still possible to use the Dover-Dunkirk and Newcastle-Amsterdam services to access Scandinavia. For travellers with additional time to spend enjoying the journey, this can be a suitable option to reach our experiences, especially those located in the more southerly regions of Sweden and Norway.
Taking the ferry to France or Holland can be an ideal way to travel way to travel for example to one of our log cabin holidays in Sweden without flying, from where you can travel onwards by car or train. These services are also suitable of course for holidays in other parts of Europe.
By choosing to travel by ferry as an alternative to flying, you are making a positive environmental choice and perhaps adding even more adventure to your trip! If you are planning to travel by ferry to a Nature Travels experience, we are happy to advise our clients on suitable connections and assist you with any aspect of planning your journey.
