From Husky Hugs to Dozing Dogs….
We could easily have made this a Top 100 (you can never have too many husky pictures!), but have limited ourselves to just 20 of our favourite husky pictures sent in our by wonderful customers (plus a few from our own adventures!) and spanning our range of dogsled tours in Sweden, Norway and Finland.
No. 1: On A Roll
Whether to cool off after a run or just for the sheer joy of it, every husky loves a roll in the snow!
No. 2: Still Rollin’
Dogs just wanna have fun….
No. 3: Husky Photobomb 1
Huskies love affection, and they love attention. If they think your mind is on something else, they’ll do their best to get in on the action!
No. 4: Husky Photobomb 2
Another of our attention-seeking favourites!
No. 5: Double Trouble
Huskies run side by side in pairs (except in Greenland, where they run in a fan formation, but that’s another story), so matching the dogs with the most suitable partner is one of the many important considerations when putting together a team.
No. 6: Is It A Bird, Is It A Plane…?
….nope, it’s one of our younger guests with a most excellent husky hat!
No. 7: Puppy Love
Ain’t no joy like the joy of cuddling a puppy!
No. 8: The Cookie Monster
Jayne from the Nature Travels meets (and is instantly smitten by) “Cookie”, one of the newest arrivals.
No. 9: Don’t Be Nosy
Huskies are very affectionate, and will never miss an opportunity to stick their nose in your face! If your face is hidden by a camera lens, they’ll just stick their nose in that instead!
No. 10: A Nose By Any Other Name Would Smell As Sweet
“Oi, I noticed you weren’t helping much when we came up that hill back there….”
Dog sledding is all about teamwork, and you’re very much part of the team. If you don’t do your bit, they’ll notice!
No. 11: Snow Dog
A husky’s thick fur will keep it warm in the most extreme conditions…
No. 12: The Lap Of Luxury
…although that’s not to say they don’t enjoy a bit of pampering now and then!
No. 13: Cute? Moi?
Huskies are no fools – they know how cute they are, and are masters at turning on the charm.
No. 14: Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This
Is there anything more adorable in the world than a sleeping dog?
No. 15: Wake Me Up When September Ends
As the autumn begins and temperatures begin to fall, the huskies’ summer rest comes to an end and the training for the winter season ahead begins.
No. 16: Is It Morning Yet?
…and if it is, where’s my breakfast?
No. 17: Gone To The Dogs
Bob from the Nature Travels team gets acquainted with the locals on his first ever dogsled tour back in 2007.
No. 18: Stowaway
“If I stay still enough, no-one will notice I’m not a piece of luggage…”
No. 19: Lazin’ On A Sunny Afternoon
Huskies know how to conserve their energy for when it’s needed!
No. 20: You’re Never Too Big…
…to be picked up and hugged!
A big thank you to all of you who continue to send us such wonderful photos from your trips – we absolutely love receiving them.
Looking through all the pictures we’ve collected over the years really warms our hearts and makes us look forward even more to when new adventures are once again possible.
In the meantime, we hope that you and your families remain in good health and good spirits!
Best regards
The Nature Travels Team
