"We stayed in the cabin for a week in August this year. Our party consisted of 2 adults and 2 teenage boys. The cabin was like new and very well-equipped. The beds and seating in the living area were all very comfortable. The cabin is in a fantastic position overlooking Stor Treen and therefore allowing you to eat/drink alfresco or inside (as it could a little chilly once the sun set) whilst enjoying the beautiful view. The lake had a number of islands which we were keen to investigate. We hired a couple of canoes and then spent 2 days on the water island hopping. Some of the larger islands had fire pits and when the fire ban (due to an extreme dry period) was lifted we went to one of the islands and used a fire pit to toast marshmallows. The lake is also home to a number beaver lodges. Unfortunately we didn’t get to see any beavers but it was fun trying. Included in the price was the use of a small boat with an outboard motor. The owner’s son was kind enough to show me how to use it and how to navigate the channel from the boats mooring point to the main lake. This was great fun for us all and allowed us to explore further up the lake. It really enhanced our stay. Also include in the price was use of the sauna. The cabin also had access to a nearby fire pit that overlooked the lake. The owner, Björn and his family were very helpful and friendly, with Björn coming to the cabin and giving us information on the area, places to visit and walks to take.
