"My family and I have just returned from the most amazing holiday. From start to finish our local host was fantastic - so professional, organised, knowledgeable and unflappable. Everything went like clockwork thanks to her attention to detail. She makes it look so easy (but we know it is not). She was so good with our kids too and helped to make it one of the best holidays we have ever had - active family time, hiking in great locations, wild camping, swimming in beautiful lakes, and canoeing in fantastic settings. Not to mention the lovely food organised for us (enough for an army!). Our accommodation was excellent. Anders and Nette in Malby could not have been more hospitable. Fantastic welcome on arrival with refreshing drink and snacks, a beautiful room with view, and a marvellous traditional Swedish evening meal and hearty breakfast. Anders educated us with his impressive historical knowledge and Nette was so generous with her time showing the kids the lovely ponies, dogs and new kittens. We would love to return someday. Our B∓B and host in Gnesta was also great. The kids (and parents) loved relaxing in the pool after days of hiking and cycling. Thank you so much for such a relaxing stay. "We had a super time on our adventures. The bikes, detailed maps and route planners were fabulous. Thank you. Our only suggestion is that the ‘Oldies’ doing the trails may need a little more than 1 hour for lunch and need a few more stops along the way! However, we are aware that if our sons (aged 23 and 24) had done this adventure they could easily have finished each days cycling by lunchtime! So it is a difficult task to predict how long each person in a group needs to complete their cycling. As you will see from some of the photos we were quite determined to do our Backgammon challenge too, which added on an hour to each day. For the record Nick won (just, by 12 games to 11). Thank you for the amazing holiday we will be recommending you to our friends (well the fitter ones, at least). P.S. I slept most of the way back to Stockholm on the steamer boat! Warmest wishes."
