Canoe Tour with Skills Course in West Sweden is an ideal choice for those who would like to build confidence and improve their paddle skills and safety knowledge before beginning a self-guided tour in the beautiful Dalsland lake system, one of Sweden's top canoeing areas.

Canoeing is an activity accessible at many levels, from novice to expert, and is a wonderful way to enjoy the Swedish outdoors. The instruction course included before your tour will increase your enjoyment of the trip. Those new to canoeing will find the confidence to make the most of their holiday, while guests with some previous paddling experience can develop their skills.

You begin your canoe adventure with two nights at an eco guest-house near Lake Bullaresjön, which is the base for a 3-4 hour instruction course covering safety techniques such as capsize drill and pair rescue as well as tips on efficient paddling to make every paddle stroke count when it comes to tour time! After the course, you can take the rest of the day to practise what you have learned.

Attractively-built from natural materials and with its own organic garden, waste water management and renewable energy systems, the guest house provides a comfortable and relaxing way to ease into your tour and is also ideal for staying additional nights after the trip for hiking, mountain biking, fishing or swimming in the lake.

The following morning, you are transferred east to Kornsjön, on the border of the counties of Bohuslän and Dalsland, to begin your canoe tour. Kornsjön lies in the western part of the Dalsland lake system, a beautiful region offering excellent paddling in both rural and more remote landscapes. To preserve the local environment in Dalsland, there is a network of camping spots where fireplaces/firewood and dry outside toilets are provided. During your tour you can choose to make use of these or also to camp wild at other spots along the route.

The exact start point of your tour and and also the pick-up point in the afternoon of your end day will depend on the length of your planned tour as well as weather/wind conditions and will be discussed at the start of your canoe trip.

You can choose to spend any duration on the expedition part of your canoeing holiday from 3 days/2 nights upwards and the Dalsland lake system offers the possibility to make your trip as challenging or easy-going as you wish.

At the end of your tour, you will be picked up in the afternoon for return transfer and departure. Or why not extend your time in West Sweden with some additional nights at the guest house and take advantage of the beautiful surroundings?

Provisions for breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided for you to prepare yourself, both for nights at the guest house and during the tour. Local ingredients and produce from the guest houses's organic garden are used as far as possible.

Canoe Tour with Skills Course in West Sweden provides a wonderful way to discover the joy of open canoeing and is suitable both for adults and for families with children aged 10 and over.
