Dates/Period: Standard start days: 04.05-28.09.10 Tuesdays and Fridays. Non-standard start days*: 01.05-30.09.10 any days except Sundays.
*For non-standard start days, there is a minimum charge of the cost for 4 adults

Accommodation: Camping
Required: Swimming ability for adults, good health, reasonable fitness/strength. Suitable for the whole family. Min. 2 adults.
Non-standard start days: Min. 4 adults required for custom start days/times. Smaller groups are possible (for safety reasons must contain min. 2 adults), charged at the full rate for 4 adults due to logistics.

Northern Värmland offers you a wide variety of experiences, accommodation and activities. You're never far away from the beautiful scenery with fine walking trails, excellent fishing and canoeing possibilities.
Torsby has a number of valuable wetland and forest areas with a varied flora and fauna, with crystal clear lakes rich in fish. Torsby is a wonderful area for anyone interested in nature.
Röjdån is a small river with calm flowing waters which empties into Lake Övre Fryken at Torsby. Along the way it widens in places to create small lakes and runs through a cultural landscape - a fertile valley tour with fine views of the mountains to the north and east.
The canoe tour starts at Torsby and after canoeing to the lake Kläggen you return to Torsby again. 45km of relaxing paddling and two short land transports in each direction. Keep a lookout for wildlife - the forests of Värmland are home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, and if you keep quiet and still near dusk you may see beaver in the river.

As with all our canoe experiences in this region, this is not a guided tour - this is a discovery of your own, taken at your own pace, and you will choose your own camping spot each night. You will be given detailed guidance and advice before the start of your canoeing holiday.
