Västmanland is one of Sweden's most interesting provinces, offering a multitude of different attractions, both historical and otherwise. Västmanland is a province of small distances. You only have to travel short distances in order to encounter very diverse landscapes and vegetation zones.
The southernmost part of the province consists mainly of Mälaren's archipelago. Animals, plants and deciduous forests are characteristic of this part of the province. The middle of Västmanland consists mainly of very fertile agricultural farmland. The northern region is dominated by vast pine and fir forests.

In the cosy log cabin of Skogslyckan (Swedish for "forest happiness") you will sleep comfortably in front of the fireplace and enjoy the freedom of being together. Around the corner, the blueberry forest awaits you, where you can walk and enjoy the peacefulness of the forest. Here there are many different lakes with stunning sunsets to choose between and during the day there are plenty of forest walks to explore.
When you get hungry, dinner will be brought to you by the fire. You chop wood and fetch water from the spring to drink. In the evening you may dare a dip in the lake lit by the moon in the clear water. You will sleep well in the cabin's relaxing peacefulness and wake to the birdsong, breakfast and the never-ending forest to discover!

"It really was an adventure! Marcus and David looked after us so well, entertaining us with stories and showing us all the fun things we could do. As we added an extra night to our stay we had plenty of time to explore. We enjoyed chopping our own wood and eating round the fire and the sauna was wonderful. I would personally like to thank all at Nature Travels who aided our rescue from the island in the lake after our row boat drifted off, and to David who canoed out to save us. "Our experience was brilliant, like nothing I have done before!...I wanted something different and special for my partner's 50th birthday and this fitted the bill perfectly...The whole experience was wonderful. I was a little apprehensive to begin with not knowing what to expect. We arrived with everything but the kitchen sink. Thomas who greeted us was fantastic - perfect English! We were shown around and then taken to our cabin. We couldn't believe how lovely it was, warm, cosy and very romantic (everything we wanted). The food was delivered to us in a basket at mealtimes and we had all traditional Swedish foods (my partner is vegetarian and they catered for him perfectly). Quality of food superb! The forest was quiet and peaceful, just what we needed to unwind and enjoy quality time together. We came home relaxed. We are used to 5 star hotels and this was a 5 star experience and Mark and I would recommend this giving it 10/10. Thomas was an absolute gem and couldn't do enough for us. Thank you."
