Peace of Mind

Fully Protected

Nature Travels is fully bonded through the Travel & General Group, so you can book your holiday with us in confidence. Put simply, this means you are protected against losing your money in the unlikely event that Nature Travels experiences financial difficulties.

Fully Insured

At Nature Travels we believe that your safety and holiday enjoyment are very important. Things can go wrong on holiday. You could fall ill or have an accident; you could have money or luggage stolen; your visit might be cancelled or cut short through injury or illness; your family may need to fly out to be with you if there is a serious incident. All these risks and more can be covered by taking out travel insurance.

Please note that we require you to carry insurance and will ask you to provide details of your insurer and policy number before your booking can be confirmed. Nature Travels offers comprehensive travel insurance through TAG Insurance Services which is ideal for the activities we offer.

Fully Covered

Your policy should pay out if you need to cancel or cut short a trip because, for example, you fall ill. It should cover pre-paid expenses, such as excursions, and any extra costs incurred in getting home. Check your policy documents to see what would be covered: accident, illness, pregnancy unknown when you buy the policy, jury service or witness summons, etc. Cover may also be provided if you are needed at home because of fire, storm or flood, or if you are required by the police to come home following a burglary.

Some policies also cover cancellation arising from you being made redundant or if a strike or bad weather affects the departure of a flight or ship. You need a policy with sufficient cover to refund the full cost of your holiday. Check your policy for details. We at Nature Travels recommend you to take out cancellation insurance. As our deposits are non-refundable you should be insured for cancellation at time of booking.

Fully Informed

Please note that it is your responsibility to ensure that you have a valid passport and visa (UK citizens do not require a visa for Sweden but please ensure your circumstances do not require special arrangements). Before you travel, visit the "Travel Advice by Country" and "Know Before You Go" sections of www.fco.gov.uk/travel. Launched in 2001, this is an ongoing consular awareness campaign run by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO). It encourages British nationals to be better prepared for their overseas trips with a view to avoiding common travelling traumas, risks and dangers. The key campaign message is simple and applies to everyone: Know Before You Go. Get travel insurance, research your destination including local laws and customs, visit your GP at least six weeks before travelling overseas and make copies of important travel documents.

Fully Involved

Nature Travels is totally committed to the conservation of our natural world and we donate 2% of our profits to a Swedish conservation project every year. In operating the tours we use local businesses and guides in each destination who inject money into and provide employment in the areas visited. Nature Travels believes that carefully planned and implemented tourism can be a sustainable economic opportunity for local communities as well as a successful conservation strategy. Through co-operation with Climate Care we also offer you the chance to offset the negative environmental effect of your flight. See Ecotourism.
