Since our beginnings in late 2005, Nature Travels has been the UK specialists for outdoor and ecotourism experiences in Sweden, expanding to include activities in Norway from 2012 onwards. We have a detailed knowledge of the tours and activities we sell based on personal experience - the Nature Travels team have dog sledded through the mountains of Swedish Lapland, canoed the waters of Rogen and kayaked the islands of the Stockholm Archipelago. We pride ourselves on offering exemplary customer service and responding promptly and efficiently to enquiries and questions. We will always respond to your emails within one working day, and often much more quickly. If you prefer to call us with your questions, there is no telephone queue, no "press 1 to speak to..." - your call will be answered directly by one of the Nature Travels team and you will almost always (unless one of us is away trying out an adventure!) be able to speak to the same person each time you call.
As Nature Travels does not offer packages including flights, car hire, hotel stays, etc, you have a great deal of flexibility to plan your trip, your way, depending on your budget level, preferred dates, departure airport and plans before/after your experience with us. We also offer the option to make payment in British Pounds, Euros, and Swedish or Norwegian Kronor. While the majority of our clients are from the UK, the flexbility we can offer means that we have an increasing number of guests booking with us from all over the world, including mainland Europe, Australia, New Zealand and North America.
Although we do not sell flights and domestic travel, we are happy to advise on suitable connections and assist you with any aspect of planning your journey, including taking forward suggested travel plans showing flight and public transport connections, and providing any help you need in arranging your travel. If you are staying in the country for additional days before and/or after your experience with us, we can also offer complementary advice and guidance on other places to visit, recommended accommodation, etc, as part of our service.
Nature Travels is fully bonded by insurance through the Travel & General Group, so you can book your holiday with us in confidence. Put simply, this means you are protected against losing your money in the unlikely event that Nature Travels experiences financial difficulties. Why isn't Nature Travels covered by ATOL? As we do not sell air travel, ATOL (Air Travel Organisers' Licensing) is not applicable to our business. TOPP is the means by which Nature Travels protects our customer payments.
Nature Travels is committed to the principles of responsible travel and the conservation of our natural world. We donate a percentage of our profits to conservation projects every year, normally a project focusing specifically on Swedish nature and wildlife. In operating our experiences we use locally-owned, small-scale businesses and local guides in each destination, who inject money into and provide employment in the areas visited. Nature Travels believes that carefully planned and implemented tourism can be a sustainable economic opportunity for local communities as well as a successful conservation strategy. Total Payment Protection (topp) Policy Cover:
In compliance with the UK Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992 an insurance policy has been arranged with Travel & General Insurance Services Limited (tagis), to protect customers' prepayments in the unlikely event of our financial failure and paid in respect of: 1) non-flight inclusive packages commencing and returning to the UK. 2) the ground handling aspects of packages where the customer is responsible for arranging travel to the destination offered in this brochure/literature/document/on this website (subject to the terms of the insurance policy), for: 1) a refund of such prepayments if customers have not yet travelled, or 2) making arrangements to enable the holiday to continue if customers have already travelled. Customers' prepayments are protected by a topp policy. In the unlikely event of financial failure please contact the claims helpline on 0870 0137 965. A copy of the policy is available on request.
