Adventurous Training for Armed Forces Groups
Nature Travels offers a number of Adventurous Training activities which are ideal for Armed Forces and University Armed Forces groups (University Air Squadrons, University OTCs and University RNUs).
A range of unique and challenging Adventurous Training expeditions is available in summer or winter providing exciting and unusual ways to work on personal development and teamwork skills.
The level of challenge for each Adventurous Training expedition can be adapted to suit the needs and abilities of your group, from extended wilderness canoeing to wild winter camping, ski touring and dog sledding expeditions.

Summer Adventurous Training Expeditions
For summer (best season normally May to end September), Adventure Training activities in Sweden include:
- Wilderness canoeing (7-14 days; routes 70-200 km or more; wild camping)
- Timber rafting (5-8 days; an excellent team building activity where participants build their own 3m x 6m timber raft using nothing but ropes and logs; wild camping)
Winter Adventurous Training Expeditions
During winter (best season normally December to end April), opportunities for Adventure Training in Sweden include:
- Dog sledding (8-day experiences in Lapland; winter camping or cabin tour; each participant drives their own sled with 4-5 Siberian Huskies)
- Snowshoeing (winter camping; no previous snowshoeing experience required)
- Ski Touring (winter camping or cabin tour; some previous XC skiing experience required)
- A 1-day Winter Mountain Skills course is available as an optional add-on to the above experiences, including avalanche safety, navigation and storm simulation.
