My children loved the canoeing, though not so much the camping, which was more down to the weather than anything else! "The holiday went well, learnt a lot from the country, and the canoeing was something. We had a great time camping for the 4 nights. Came across all sorts of wildlife, like beavers, a big black snake, migrating geese, fish, deer, heard wolves howling in the evening. Picked up a good few skills and knowledge on the camping side of it too. It was great to have the freedom to roam around fields, woodlands and roads with this 'right of public access'. We worked around the map and picked points to have a look at. And the weather was on our side, the sun shone through the week, only rained one night. "We had a fantastic time. It was just amazing, having to slow down to a more livable pace, being surrounded by nature, we only had one night of rain, all the days were dry. The last day was glorious sunshine, which just made the experience. If I were to do it again, I would take a more detailed map as we where unable to find the waterfall, which was a shame.
