The farm has just two rooms with a shared living area. Each room can accommodate 2 adults and up to 3 children. Alternatively, many clients choose to book the second room exclusively for their children (charged at adult rate), giving everyone loads of space and allowing your family to have the whole farmhouse accommodation to yourselves! This experience is also marvellous for 2 families travelling together. In this case, the children often take over the living area for themselves to create a communal "den" just the way they want it, leaving the adults to enjoy the privacy and space of their own rooms.

Åsa specialises in delicious farmhouse cooking made from local ingredients, and there is a wide range of activities to choose from, ensuring that while the goal of your family holiday in Sweden may be simple pleasures, there is little chance of the children getting bored! You can spend your days hiking in the forest, fishing and swimming in the nearby lakes, getting to know the farm animals or taking a horse and carriage ride through the woods. And if you can tear yourselves away from the homeliness of the farm for a day, a number of exciting day trips are possible, including the superb collection of Swedish wildlife at Järvzoo.

Very popular with active families looking for a real family adventure holiday are our range of self-guided canoe tours. Ranging in length from 4 to 14 days, all of our canoeing holidays in Sweden are suitable for families. Which one is best for your family will depend on the time you have available, how used you are to outdoor life (wild camping is possible on all the tours), and the ages of your children.

The most accessible of our canoeing holidays for families is Canoe on Klarälven. This runs in a rural area and is the only tour with the possible to stay at "proper" campsites at some points along the way if you wish. This is the canoe tour we recommend for families with younger children and is also the only tour suitable for single parents travelling with children. For all our other tours, a minimum of two adults is required for safety reasons.

For those seeking real challenge and adventure on their family canoeing holiday in Sweden, Canoe on Bergslagen is an ideal choice. This tour runs in a remote wilderness area of forest and lakes and requires a number of land transports. While this is the perfect tour for active families with teenagers who enjoy the outdoors, Canoe on Bergslagen can be hard work for younger children because of the land transports involved, so we do not recommend this tour for families with children under 10.
