NB: It is no longer necessary to have a paper ticket to travel on any SJ service in Sweden. If you have booked a ticket in advance over the internet or phone, you only need to show a valid EU passport. You do not need to collect tickets prior to travel. Simply choose the option "Ticketless with ID" on the payment page when booking online. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
Taxi transfer to/from Åre Östersund airport and Undersåker, the start point for Snowshoeing in Wolverine Country and Ski Touring and Winter Mountaincraft in Jämtland as well as Active Snow Break in the Vålå Valley. SAS operate domestic flights from Stockholm Arlanda to Åre Östersund airport. Booking is possible up to 3 hours before pickup time, i.e. about 5 hours before take-off or landing. Either buses or taxis are used depending on the number of passengers each time. For information in English, click the English flag in the top right corner then click the large button on the right of the page labelled "Åre Flygtransfer".
You can also choose to travel by airport bus into central Östersund (about 25 mins) for onward train to your destination.

Swebus offers regular, affordable services between Swedish towns and cities. Click "English" in the top left of the screen and choose your departure point and destination to see timetable information and make your booking online.
Airport buses from Stockholm Arlanda, Gothenburg City, Stockholm Skavsta, Västerås, etc. You can book your flight bus tickets directly through Nature Travels.
If you are travelling on one of our canoeing or timber rafting experiences beginning in Gunnerud, you can download the most recent summer timetable for the bus from Karlstad to Gunnerud here. If the timetable for your travel dates has not yet been published, this will be forwarded to you when released.

Holiday Autos offers car hire from a number of airports and towns within Sweden. One-way hire is also available for some destinations.
Sixt offer car hire from a wide range of pick-up points, including Stockholm Arlanda, Stockholm Skavsta and Stockholm Västerås airports.
Statoil petrol stations are generally the most affordable option for car hire in Sweden. They do not offer airport hire facilities, but often have stations close by and are also found in many other central locations. For example, there is a station at Arlanda Eurostop, served by shuttlebus from Stockholm Arlanda airport.
